Jennifer has won an NCAA Basketball Championship at Stanford University, and was honored with both the Naismith and Wade Trophies. She is an Olympic Gold Medalist and is regarded as one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball.  As the Salt Lake Tribune expressed, "Jennifer Azzi is no doubt the best fit athlete to play the sport of basketball, male or female." On April 4, 2007 she was drafted by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA draft. In her rookie season she has been quoted as being one of the best pure shooters of the game. Many have compared her to other Indiana greats such as Larry Bird and Katie Douglas. Upon her return to Indiana to verse the Indiana Fever on June 13,2007 Beech Grove honored Gearlds for her achievements and representation of their city.
Played in all 34 games as a rookie … averaged 6.6 points per game, 1.2 rebounds per game and 1.0 assists per game … scored a season-best 18 points in the last game of the season August 12 vs. Phoenix, chipping in three rebounds and two assists was named Peak Performer by the WNBA
The Lennox Foundation 22 was founded by WNBA (formerly with the Seattle Storm now with the Atlanta Dream Team) #22 Betty Lennox to support kids in all communities that battle with the horrors of neglect and abuse.  The money raised by The Lennox Foundation 22 will assist different shelters and homes to enrich their programs and educational needs for their communities.
